但新買預裝 Windows 8 電腦或執行廠機隱藏磁區系統還原後, 在市集首頁畫面是看不到 Windows 8.1 更新的, 這時便要移至 Windows Update 並手動安裝 KB 2871389 和 KB 2917499, 才能在市集看到 Windows 8.1 更新。
